3.2. Creating a New Event
It's easy to add an event to a calendar!
The best way is to just double click on the free time that you would like to add an event to. This will open the event edit window as a pop up.
Alternatively you can click on the Add/Edit link below the calendar, or click on the day you want to add the event to; this brings up the Event Edit screen for that day. Any events which already exist for that day are displayed, as well as a form you can fill out to create a new event. The only required field is the Event Text.
In addition to the event text (name), you can specify:
- The date of the event (if you clicked on a day, this defaults to that date.)
- Start Time and End Time (if you clicked on a time, this will be the default start time)
- A Category for the event, which has associated default colors and can also be used for Searching and Filtering.
Click Create Event!
